Campaigning to increase/dedicated tax
The term ‘campaign’ is often used to describe the processes and strategies required to make a case for dedicated taxes for health promotion. A campaign is defined as an organized series of operations, which is exactly what is required to achieve success.
The states and countries that have increased tobacco tax for health promotion/ tobacco control initiatives and created appropriate funding mechanisms for their distribution have identified a number of key strategies. Those that are listed below have been generally utilized in both developing and developed countries.
